Will Rowson

Will Rowson is CEO of GSA – Global Student Accommodation. Will has 35 years of experience in the real estate industry and started his career at King & Co (now JLL) in London, then became a Partner at Strutt and Parker (now BNP Paribas) before joining ING Real Estate Investment Management in 2003 as Director of European Fund Management. Between 2005 and 2008 he led the company’s Transaction Team in Continental Europe before being appointed CIO, a member of the EMEA Executive Committee and Chair of the European Investment Committee in 2008. Will continued in these roles at CBRE Global Investors after the purchase of ING REIM by CBRE in 2011 and was also a member of the Global Leadership Team. Will was a Partner of global advisory firm Hodes Weill from 2015-2019 advising on capital raisng and M&A projects around the world.

Will is a frequent contributor to the real estate press in Europe and has written articles for Private Equity Real Estate (PERE), Property EU, Institutional Real Estate Europe, and Estates Gazette. He has also chaired and spoken at events organized by PERE, IPE Real Estate, Property EU and Estates Gazette.

Will holds an Honours Degree in Estate Management from University of the West of England, where he has since lectured on International Real Estate, became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and later attended senior management training at IMD in Switzerland. He is a past Chairman of the ULI EMEA Retail and Entertainment Council and a current member of the Investment Property Forum International Group. He is also a Strategic Advisor to Bricklane Residential REIT plc.
