Kelsy Nelson

Kelsy Nelson is a seasoned Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist currently serving Lumkani, where responsibilities include developing a monitoring and evaluation framework to enhance impact reporting and data collection. Concurrent roles include Lead Consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Shell Foundation, focusing on measuring gender co-benefits in carbon offsetting projects in Kenya. Kelsy also holds a leadership position at GSMA for the Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation Programme, working on a new Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Framework for Phase 2 of the initiative. Additional experience includes serving as an Evaluation Expert Panellist for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and as a Technical Advisor for Fondation Botnar's evaluation meta-synthesis. Kelsy's background encompasses a diverse range of roles in various organizations, including Mercy Corps and Knight Foundation, paired with a strong educational foundation in conflict, security, development, international studies, and languages from institutions including the University of Sussex and American University.
