Peter Scannell

Peter Scannell has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of frontend web development and UI design. Peter started their career at IBM as a Software Engineer and Team Leader, where they worked on projects such as the Macintosh Time and Place Calendar and the OfficeVision release 2 for OS/2. Peter then moved on to Avid Technology, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Principal Software Engineer and UI Architect/Designer. At Avid, they were responsible for designing, prototyping, and leading the development of various video editing workflow products. Peter then joined Black Duck Software as a UI Designer, where they focused on compliance management solutions. After that, they worked at Openwave Systems, Inc. as a Frontend Web Developer and played a key role in the design and implementation of their web application, Richmail. Finally, they joined GTxcel as a Frontend Web Developer, where they developed web applications for digital publishing content, including Turnstyle ACE and GTxcel Webreader.

From 1986 to 1997, Peter Scannell attended the University of North Texas, where they pursued a PhD in Information Science.
