Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority
Christina Chavez currently serves as the Deputy Executive Manager of Administration and HR & Safety Director at Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority since October 2022. Previously, Christina held the position of HR Professional at Texas Municipal Retirement System from August 2021 to October 2022 and served as HR Manager at Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority from August 2018 to August 2021. Prior experience includes work as a Benefits Analyst at Augusta University Health and as an HR Generalist for the City of San Angelo, Texas. Christina holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority
GBRA provides stewardship for the water resources in its ten-county statutory district, which begins near the headwaters of the Guadalupe and Blanco Rivers, ends at San Antonio Bay, and includes Kendall, Comal, Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Gonzales, DeWitt, Victoria, Calhoun and Refugio counties. Planning and resource development efforts are carefully coordinated within the broader consideration of regional and statewide water needs in order to fulfill GBRA's primary responsibilities of developing, conserving and protecting the water resources of the Guadalupe River Basin.
