Alexander Sobolev

Alexander Sobolev is a highly experienced professional specializing in human-centered design, innovation, and product development within the arts and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Human Centered Design Lead and Innovation Leader at Guardian Industries since April 2016, Alexander has previously held significant roles at Joseph Curtin Studios, where contributions included enhancing violin acoustics and reinventing fabrication processes. As a co-founder of Weinreich Labs, leadership was demonstrated in developing a next-generation electric violin. Past experiences also include research roles at the University of Michigan, focusing on manufacturing systems and vehicle sustainability. Alexander holds a BFA in Art & Design from the University of Michigan, where involvement in both academic and practical art handling further complemented a diverse skill set in design and manufacturing.
