Steve Pethan

Steve Pethan has extensive experience in engineering and operational leadership, currently serving as Director of SRE - Application at Guidewire Software since March 2022. In this role, Steve leads global SRE teams focused on uptime and declarative operations to enhance consistency and reduce toil. Prior to this, Steve held various management positions at Kohl's from 2008 to April 2022, including Director of Infrastructure Engineering - Analytics and Senior Manager of Infrastructure Reliability Engineering. Key achievements at Kohl's include the establishment of an Infra Reliability Engineering Team, standardization of SLOs, and successful management of complex PaaS operations. Steve's career began with roles in quality assurance and project management across several organizations, showcasing a strong foundation in IT strategy and operations. Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
