Melissa Carney

Melissa Carney currently serves as the Community Outreach and Graduate Support Manager at Guiding Eyes for the Blind since November 2021. In tandem, Melissa has been an Educational Outreach Consultant at Democracy Live Inc. since June 2020. Prior roles include Director of Outreach and Engagement at the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind (June 2020 - November 2021), Peer Fellow at Mount Holyoke College (August 2016 - May 2019), Fall Policy Intern at the National Council on Independent Living (September 2018 - December 2018), and Visiting Scholar at IBM (June 2018 - August 2018). Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from Mount Holyoke College (2015 - 2019) and participated in the University of California, Washington Center program in 2018.
