Nathan Jones has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nathan began their career as a Mechanical Engineer at PaperlinX, where they managed capital projects and implemented a maintenance management system. Nathan then worked at Dux Hot Water as a Process Development and Project Engineer, where they successfully implemented automation and robotics to increase output and improve safety.
After that, Jones joined Bevington Group as a Senior Managing Consultant, leading continuous improvement, productivity, and change consulting assignments. Nathan also managed the recruitment of consulting staff and developed client relationships to achieve sales targets.
Jones then moved to CGU as a Change & Business Implementation Lead, responsible for leading the business transformation and change management strategy. Nathan successfully orchestrated a large IT change project supporting 500+ Claims staff across multiple initiatives.
Next, Jones joined IAG as a Senior Manager, Change, where they provided co-leadership of the Organisational Change Practice and led the portfolio of centralized projects across the Group. Nathan successfully supported the national transition and implementation of Agile project governance and a new DevOps IT operating model.
Jones then joined Nous Group as a Director, Strategy & Operational Performance, where they project-directed client engagements and ensured deliverable quality, project financials, and client experiences exceeded expectations. Nathan also drove business development with new and existing clients and mentored junior consultants.
Most recently, Jones joined Energy Power Systems Australia as a GM Strategy, Technology & Marketing, where they provided people leadership and budget accountability for various functions. Nathan also had executive leadership responsibilities for strategy development and execution.
Currently, Jones is the Head of Strategy, Digital & Analytics at Guild Insurance, where they lead the strategic direction in digital and analytics.
Nathan Jones has a strong educational background, with their most recent experience being in 2022 at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Nathan completed the Foundations of Directorship program, focusing on Governance.
Prior to that, they obtained the Safe Agilist (Leading SAFe) certification from Scaled Agile in 2019.
In 2006, Nathan attended the Melbourne Business School, where they earned their MBA degree. Additionally, in 2007, they participated in an MBA exchange program at the University of Cape Town.
