The board of directors at Guilford County Schools has a history of being made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds in education and leadership. The current board president, Cynthia Butler, has previous experience as the board president of Parents Across America, a co-founder of The Mothers' Agenda of New York, and a supported employment specialist at Long Life Information & Referral. Other members of the board have experience working in development and event consulting, as well as ministry leadership.
