Mathew James Dutton (He/Him)

Mathew James Dutton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Mathew James is currently the Director of People at Gumtree.com, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty from 2017 to 2022, where they held various roles including Head of People Partnering EMEA, Senior People Partner EMEA, and People Business Partner. Mathew James also served as the Voluntary HR Manager at Under the Radar UK from 2017 to 2018. Before that, Mathew worked as a Regional People Advisor at Superdrug from 2016 to 2017 and an HR Advisor at EMR from 2014 to 2016. Their career started as an Associate Recruitment Consultant at Hays from 2013 to 2014. Mathew James also gained legal experience as a Legal Counsel (On Secondment) at Aeternum Capital Management from 2012 to 2013 and as a Paralegal at Abacus Solicitors from 2011 to 2013.

Mathew James Dutton attended St Gregory's High School from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained their GCSEs. From 2006 to 2008, they studied Law and Sociology at Priestley College and earned their A Levels. Mathew James then attended the University of Central Lancashire from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with a focus on European Union, Criminal, Family, Equity and Trusts, and Land. In 2014, Mathew attended Warrington Business School for a year and studied Level 5 CIPD Human Resources Management. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Coaching Diploma from ILM in May 2016 and became a Student CIPD at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in September 2014.
