Will Prescott

Will Prescott has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and web development. Will is currently working at Gumtree.com as a Senior Manager of Front-end Engineering. Prior to this, they worked at Expedia Group, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Engineering Manager and Development Lead. At Hotels.com, a subsidiary of Expedia Group, they served as a Senior User Interface Engineer, where they contributed to the improvement of the hotel booking experience by designing and prototyping new features and mentoring team members. Before Expedia Group, Will worked at Thomson Reuters, where they started as a Senior Web Developer and later became a Technical Team Leader. During their time at Thomson Reuters, they took on a secondment to Switzerland to oversee the development of a new user interface layer for a global platform. Will'searly career included a role as Lead Web Designer/Developer at EMP plc, where they worked on various web projects, including magazine tie-in promo sites and brochure sites for small businesses.

Will Prescott attended Aylesbury Grammar School from 1989 to 1995. Will then went on to study at the University of Wolverhampton from 1995 to 1998, earning a BA Hons degree in Media and Communication Studies with a focus on Communication and Media Studies. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including Algorithmic Toolbox from the University of California, San Diego & Higher School of Economics, R Programming from Johns Hopkins University, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Johns Hopkins University. These certifications were obtained in 2016.
