Steven Fok has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Steven is currently the Head of Technology Risk Management at Guotai Junan International since August 2021. Prior to this, they held the same role at livi bank from May 2020 to September 2021.
Before joining the banking sector, Steven served as the Group Chief Information Security Officer at Emperor Group from December 2017 to May 2020. Steven also worked at Deutsche Bank as the Regulation, Risk and Control Manager (AVP) overseeing IT and Operation areas from July 2016 to December 2017. Earlier in their career, they held the role of IT Risk & BCP Manager, North Asia (Contract) at Deutsche Bank from January 2013 to July 2016.
Steven has gained experience in project management as well, having worked at various organizations like Bank of China International, ITChannel, and VF Corporation. Steven started their career as a System Analyst at iMerchants and later worked as a System Architect at JPMorgan Chase. Furthermore, they have practical experience in the field of cybersecurity having worked as a Senior Information Security Analyst, Asia Pacific at VF Corporation.
In addition to their corporate experience, Steven has also worked for the Hong Kong Police Force as a Contract Analyst Programmer from April 1998 to March 2000.
Overall, through their various roles in technology risk management, system architecture, project management, and cybersecurity, Steven has developed a strong foundation in the financial, IT, and security sectors.
Steven Fok studied at the University of London from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Computer and Information System. In addition to their degree, they also obtained additional certifications, including the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in January 2010 and the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in June 2001.
