Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team in serving high-net-worth and celebrity clients and their business interests. The ideal candidate will manage and develop income tax and financial planning clients, review tax returns, and collaborate with clients to implement business and process improvement recommendations.   Job Title: Senior Tax Manager, CPA   Department: Business Management   Location: Remote/ Hybrid

Successful candidates should have the following:

  • 6-7+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Direct supervisory or management experience.
  • Expert understanding of individual, corporate, taxation of pass-throughs, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and financial planning
  • High-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and trust preparation experience.
  • Ability to prepare working trial balance and year-end adjusting entries.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fields.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, and tax research.
  • Excellent skills analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Excel, Word, and CCH Axcess
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, fostering client and staff relationships.

A day-in-the-life basic overview includes:

  • Deliver excellent client service/relationship management skills and demonstrate the ability to manage and supervise others.
  • Provide clients with various planning ideas/generation and develop a client base.
  • Manage and develop income tax and financial planning clients.
  • Review complex individual, partnership returns, joint venture, and entity and non-corporate entity tax returns, combined state tax returns, and tax compliance.
  • Work closely with tax partners and other staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure client satisfaction, meet deadlines, and effectively lead change efforts.
  • Consult, collaborate with, and service clients to make business and process improvement recommendations and serve as a business adviser to clients.
  • Supervise and help drive the success of multiple engagements in partnership and individual taxation.
  • Prepare year-end projections.
  • Mentor senior associates and guide them on Tax issues.
  • Maintain presentation skills (oral and written)
