Simon Turner

Simon Turner is a Software Engineer currently working at Guru Systems Ltd. since February 2023, with prior experience at Infogrid where responsibilities included integrating a new sensor type for monitoring electricity meters and building a polling microservice using AWS and Python. Previously, Simon served as a Software Developer at Visualwind for nearly five years, focusing on full-stack development and building data pipelines for extensive SCADA data. Simon's career began with a Demonstrator role at the University of Sheffield, assisting Computer Science students, and an internship at Visualwind, where work involved creating an API for processing and visualizing timeseries data from wind farms. Simon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Sheffield, obtained in 2017.
