Leah Friedman is currently the Director of Content Marketing at Guru. Prior to joining Guru, they were the Content Marketing Manager at Autodesk from July 2016 to September 2018. Before Autodesk, Leah was the Content Marketing Manager at SmartThings from February 2016 to July 2016. Leah began their career as a Marketing Copywriter at Countable from October 2014 to February 2016, where they were responsible for designing, writing, and analyzing Countable's marketing outreach efforts, including its weekly newsletter, reengagement emails, and social media campaigns. During their time at Countable, Leah increased the newsletter campaign open rates from ~15% to >20% on average and increased the CTR from ~1.5% to >3% on average. Leah also increased organic marketing reach by over 100% in 10 months and coordinated an ambitious email and social marketing campaign that saw an increase of 1mm messages to Congress in three months (the first 1mm messages had taken 12 months). Prior to Countable, Leah was a freelance writer for Thin Reads from May 2013 to February 2014. Leah began their career as Managing Editor (SideReel.com, AllMusic.com, AllMovie.com) at RhythmOne from November 2012 to February 2016.

Leah Friedman earned their Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University in French Literature/Russian Literature. Leah then pursued their studies at Université Paris Nanterre in French Language and Literature. After that, they attended a summer intensive at Middlebury College in Russian Language and Literature. Leah also attended Emma Willard School. Lastly, they got their certification in Digital Marketing from The George Washington University School of Business.
