About the Role:

Join us as our new Program Manager for Early Career and Branding, where you'll have the opportunity to lead and build our early career and internship programs, and drive overall talent branding initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent! As a key player in our Talent team, you'll spearhead strategic efforts to cultivate relationships with schools and professional organizations, you’ll design innovative internship experiences and talent marketing, help to mentor the brightest young minds, and make a lasting impact on Gusto’s overall Employer Brand.

About the Team:

Gusto’s People team is growing and scaling with the company!  As our business scales and becomes more complex, and as we add hundreds of new Gusties each year, we need to ensure that our programs evolve and scale in a values-driven manner to attract, retain, and motivate Gusties.

The Program Manager will partner across the People team with partners including but not limited to Internal Communications, Community and Inclusion, People Partners, People Operations, and Recruiting leadership. This role also works closely with relevant business leaders across Gusto, including our technical leadership, as a historically greater proportion of interns have been in our Engineering organization.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Lead the design and implementation of recruitment marketing content and campaigns, and branding strategies that drive brand awareness to attract a diverse pool of early career and general talent
  • Build upon the Early Career and Talent Branding program charters, including mission, scope, goals, and objectives
  • Establish and nurture relationships with senior business leaders, HR partners, and external stakeholders to execute recruiting initiatives, programs, and share best practices
  • Build external partnerships with inclusion-focused student organizations, and professional and industry-specific organizations
  • Oversee the execution of the intern program to ensure a meaningful experience, foster engagement, and facilitate interns' contributions to projects
  • Champion the candidate experience from first touchpoint to onboarding, ensuring all external talent content/communications are high-quality and represent our EVP 
  • Monitor key performance metrics to inform data-driven decisions and collaborate with organizational stakeholders to manage an annual budget aligned with hiring targets and organizational goals
  • Participate in virtual and on-site events to bolster Gusto’s employer brand with our general talent pool, and with early career talent specifically
  • Social media and employer brand content creation and management via LinkedIn, Glassdoor, career pages, and other employer brand-related landing pages, including on partner sites

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • Experience
    • 8+ years of overall professional experience (in or outside of HR)
    • 4+ years of experience directly working within the Early Career / Rising Talent space within a broader HR team.
    • 3+ years of experience working within project management, program management, or data analytics
    • Previous experience directly managing projects or programs within either the Early Career space or Employment Branding space
    • Previous experience analyzing data to determine success metrics and measure program impact
    • Previous experience creating content for either internal or external audiences & an aptitude for social media management
    • Previous experience guiding others through change management
  • Soft Skills
    • End-to-end problem-solving skill set, from strategizing and structuring a complex project or program through to its execution
    • Ability to drive collaboration by building trust and credibility with leaders and individuals across the company
    • Thrives in a change heavy start-up environment with a positive attitude

Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $144,000 & $170,000 in San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
