Bala Kannikeswaran

Bala Kannikeswaran is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and engineering, currently serving as the Head of Fintech (Product & Engineering) at Gusto since July 2020. Previously, Bala held key positions at Braintree as Director of Product Management and at Visa as Sr. Director of Product Management, where leadership included overseeing the Payments Product at CyberSource, significantly enhancing a payments platform that supported over $300 billion in transactions globally. Early career roles include positions at QuinStreet, CashCompare, Yahoo!, Oracle, Callidus Software, BroadVision, and Honeywell Inc. Bala holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Madras.
