Wendy Young

Wendy Young is an accomplished professional in the field of medicinal chemistry with extensive experience in both industry and academia. Currently serving as an Advisor at GV (Google Ventures) since January 2023, Young also holds the position of Drug Annotations Editor for the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry at the American Chemical Society since January 2020. Previous roles include Executive Partner and CEO of a stealth new company at MPM Capital, as well as Senior Vice President for Small Molecule Drug Discovery and Research at Genentech. Young's career encompasses significant positions at Johnson & Johnson, Celera Corporation, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where invaluable contributions to drug discovery and medicinal chemistry were made. Wendy Young earned a PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University and holds both a BA and MS in Chemistry from Wake Forest University.
