Eddie D.

Eddie D. has extensive work experience in talent acquisition and human resources. Currently, they serve as the Director of Talent Acquisition at GWL Realty Advisors, where they have been since 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at the same company.

Before joining GWL Realty Advisors, Eddie worked at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) from 2018 to 2021. During their time there, they served as a Talent Acquisition professional, focusing on process improvement projects and the implementation of digital security screening processes. Eddie also had a temporary assignment as an HR Systems Analyst, working on back-end process improvements and resolving HR systems tickets.

Prior to their time at WSIB, Eddie worked at Siemens Canada from 2014 to 2018 as a National Recruitment Partner. In this role, they supported and developed talent acquisition strategies across Canada, partnered with vendors, and established relationships with colleges and universities.

Eddie's early work experience includes roles at Aerotek from 2009 to 2014. Eddie served as an Account Manager Engineering, focusing on business development and account management, as well as training new recruitment teams. Eddie also worked as a Senior Technical Recruiter, specializing in niche skill sets and assisting with the hiring and training of new recruiters.

Eddie D. pursued their education at Mohawk College from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Diploma in Business Marketing and Economics. Continuing their academic journey, they enrolled at Ryerson University from 2016 to 2020, completing a Human Resources Management Certificate.
