Jesse J. Holland is an Associate Professor at The George Washington University in the School of Media & Public Affairs, focusing on teaching journalism and currently instructing Advanced News Reporting and an upcoming print capstone course. Holland also serves as the Associate Director of the School and has experience as a Guest Host for C-SPAN. An accomplished author, Holland has written four books, including two nonfiction works that illuminate African American history and two adaptations based on popular franchises. Additionally, Holland has held various teaching positions at institutions such as Goucher College and New York University, and served as a Visiting Distinguished Scholar at the Library of Congress. Previously, Holland worked for The Associated Press for over 25 years in roles such as Race & Ethnicity Writer and Supreme Court Writer, covering significant political and judicial issues. Holland holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English from the University of Mississippi.
