Laura Tarne

Laura Tarne (Leipold), M.Ed. has an extensive work experience spanning various industries. Laura currently holds the position of Lead Program Manager, Leadership Development at GXO Logistics, Inc. since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at XPO Logistics, Inc. where they held multiple roles, including Senior Program Manager, Talent Development and Program Manager, Learning and Development. Laura also served as a Project Manager, University Relations and a Talent Acquisition Intern during their time at XPO Logistics. Before entering the logistics industry, Laura worked at Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools as a Professional Learning Team Facilitator and Math Teacher from October 2013 to June 2017. Laura also gained experience in the wine industry as a Tasting Room Associate at m2 Wines for a short period in 2013. In addition, Laura worked as a Teacher/Nanny for The Little Family from September 2009 to October 2012. Lastly, they began their career at Oak Ridge Military Academy as a Teacher/Coach, where they taught various subjects and played an active role in school activities and promotions from August 2006 to May 2009.

Laura Tarne (Leipold), M.Ed. earned their Master's of Education in Instructional Systems Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Social Studies at Auburn University from 2002 to 2005. Laura also holds additional certifications including "How to Be an Adaptable Employee during Change and Uncertainty" from LinkedIn (obtained in 2023) and "Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification" from the Management & Strategy Institute (obtained in 2022).
