Prior to joining Gynesonics in 2008, Dr. Toub received AB and MD degrees from the University of Chicago and earned an MBA with a concentration in management information systems from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with active recertification. After postgraduate medical training in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and Albert Einstein Medical Center, David completed a fellowship in pelvic surgery, including gynecologic oncology, at Graduate Hospital under Harry Reich and Francis Hutchins, Jr. He also served as an attending physician at Pennsylvania Hospital, where he held faculty appointments at both Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Pennsylvania. David currently holds an adjunct faculty position at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
A laparoscopic surgeon with a special interest in providing alternatives to hysterectomy, Dr. Toub has been a faculty member at several conferences organized by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), was a keynote speaker at both the 4th European Congress on Endometriosis in Vienna and the 2019 Hot Topics in Gynecology conference at the University of Bern, and most recently was an invited speaker at the DaCH & Friends Kongress-Urogynäkologie in Samedan, Switzerland. David is an expert reviewer for several medical journals, including Obstetrics and Gynecology and The Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (for which he has served on its Editorial Advisory Board), and has served on working groups of the FIGO Menstrual Disorders Committee.
