Dr Jaime R.

Dr Jaime R. has an extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Dr Jaime started their career in 2009 as an Intern at GMV Aerospace and Defence S.A., where they developed a flight simulator for the UAV ATLANTE. In 2010, they completed an Internship at Aena, working in the Department of Analysis and Improvement of the Air Navigation System. From 2011 to 2013, they served as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where they designed and implemented a motion tracking and control system for automatically landing a UAV under severe conditions. In 2014, they joined Infinium Robotics Pte Ltd as a Senior Flight Control Engineer and Vice-President (Technology Development). In 2016, they became Co-Founder and CTO of ALAS and Research Manager of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Research Center (DSAIR) at Nanyang Technological University. In 2017, they were appointed as Head of R&D - Digital Solutions and Principal Scientist at H3 Dynamics Holdings, where they led the R&D team in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies, and developed and implemented modules to improve the existing Facade Inspector software. Dr Jaime also served as a consultant for the design & development of an autonomous drone flight path optimization solution for asset inspection purposes.

Dr Jaime R. obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering Physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Master Thesis in Aerospace Engineering from the same university in 2010-2011. Dr Jaime also obtained an Engineer’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid between 2005 and 2010.
