Salla Huttunen

Salla Huttunen has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Salla began their career in 1994 as a Project Manager at Trantex => L & H Finland (now: Lionbridge Technologies), where they managed software localization projects and was involved in technical documentation projects. In 1999, they joined Nokia and held various roles including Technical Writer/Group Manager, Product Manager, Communications Manager, Head of Employee Communications, and Communications Director. In these positions, they led and implemented global communications projects and programs, supported leadership in their communications, and headed a geographically dispersed team. Since 2012, Salla has been working at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Salla initially served as the Head of Degree Programme in Communication Management, where they established a new Master's degree program and created its curriculum. Salla later became the Director of the university and is currently the Vice President responsible for Research, Development & Innovation, Learning, and Digitalisation. In their current role, Salla focuses on creating solutions and new offerings for individuals and companies looking to broaden their horizons.

Salla Huttunen has an extensive education history. Salla obtained a PhD in International Business Communication from Aalto University from 2003 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned an MA in English philology and political science from the University of Helsinki between 1985 and 1994. Salla also completed a Teacher's pedagogical qualification and Vocational pedagogy degree at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they participated in an Organizational Leadership program at VIA SLA23 in 2013 and 2014. Salla Huttunen attended Université Lumière Lyon 2 in 1991 for an intensive course in French. Salla also briefly studied at VPK in 2006 and attended Salinkallion Lukio, although the dates are unspecified for these institutions.
