General Summary:
This position reports to the R&D Team Leader or their designee, and is based in Banbury, UK. The candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies to support the R&D, Sub Assembly and Show Car departments. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person as they will have the opportunity to work closely with several departments working from initial concept to hands on with the final components.

Education and Work Experience:
University Degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred 2 years’ design experience in a professional motorsports environment or other low volume high precision industry.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build productive relationships
Capable of working in a team environment to a very high standard and a positive work attitude.
A sympathetic approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
Experience in metallic component and assembly design is essential.
Good understanding of manufacturing methods and limitations for metallic and RP components.
Good understanding of materials is required.
Good understanding of geometric tolerancing and fits.
Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings

Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic & international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast- paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
