Irshad Shakir

Irshad Shakir has over 15 years of experience in international trade, regulatory aspects, cash management services, and project implementation. Irshad currently holds the position of Head of Transaction Banking Services/ Branch Operations at Habib Bank AG Zurich since April 2019. In this role, they are responsible for improving operational processes to enhance service levels while reducing operational risks. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Operations and Technology, London for Habib Bank AG Zurich from September 2013 to July 2018. Before joining Habib Bank AG Zurich, they worked at the same bank in various positions, including Assistant to Vice President, Trade Operations/Cash Management Services from 2008 to 2013, and Senior Manager, Trade Operations and Cash Management Services from 2004 to 2008. Irshad started their career at Standard Chartered Bank as a Manager, Trade Services from July 2000 to February 2004.
