Shaun Wallis has extensive experience in the banking and hotel industries, working in various leadership roles. Shaun started their career at HSBC Holdings plc as a Group Manager of Strategic Planning from 1987 to 1990. Shaun then served as the CEO of HSBC Bank Asia Pacific in New Zealand from 1991 to 1995, overseeing the development and expansion of a full-service bank. Shaun then became the CEO of HSBC Bank Plc in Sweden and the Regional Director of the Nordic region in 1996. Shaun later joined HSBC Bank Plc in Europe, where they held the position of General Manager from 1997 to 2003, overseeing operations in 20 different European countries and successfully acquiring banks in Turkey, Malta, and Greece. Shaun then moved on to become the CEO and Executive Director of HSBC Bank Malta plc from 2004 to 2008, spearheading its transformation and leading a team of 2,000 staff. Shaun further advanced their career by serving as the President and CEO of HSBC Brasil in 2008, responsible for a full-range service bank with a substantial customer base. Shaun then joined HSBC Holdings plc as the Global Head of Business Development in Global Commercial Banking from 2009 to 2011, playing a key role in developing and managing the global head office and implementing the global transformation strategy of the business. Shaun subsequently worked as the Executive Director of Business Development at Corinthia Group of Hotels from 2011 to 2012, contributing to the company's strategic business development after the successful launch of its luxury hotel in London. Shaun concluded their career as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Habib Bank AG Zurich before retiring in 2012.
