Alejandro Ortiz

Alejandro Ortiz has extensive experience in the wellness and hospitality industry. Alejandro is currently the Group Director of Wellness at HABITAS, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Wellness & Guest Experience at One&Only Resorts from January 2020 to October 2022. Before that, they were the Wellness Project Director at SH Hotels & Resorts from October 2019 to January 2020. Alejandro also worked as the Executive Spa Director at Hilton Los Cabos from June 2018 to September 2019 and as the Executive Spa Director at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts from March 2016 to May 2018. Alejandro has also held positions at Narcissus Hotel and Residence, Riyadh as a Wellness Worldwide Consultant, at The World as a Spa and Wellness Director, at Armani Hotels & Resorts as a Spa & Recreation Manager, at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts SMA as a Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Director, and at Hela Spa México as a Spa Consultant. Alejandro has demonstrated success in managing various spa and wellness facilities, overseeing pre-opening and opening stages, implementing strategic plans, and achieving financial targets. Alejandro is highly knowledgeable in fitness, beauty, and customer service, making him a valuable asset in the industry.

Alejandro Ortiz completed their undergraduate education from 2006 to 2010 at UC Irvine, where they studied Spa & Hospitality Management. Alejandro then pursued a degree in Management with a focus on Leadership at Harvard Business School. In addition to their formal education, Alejandro obtained several certifications, including Vegan Nutritionist from the Centre of Excellence Online Ltd in September 2020, and Curanderismo Traditional Healing of the Mind, Energy & Spirit from The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in June 2020. Alejandro also received certifications in Supplements, Nutrition & Training for Bodybuilding from the IFBB | International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness in August 2015, and Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and the Modern World: Lesser Vehicle from the University of Virginia in August 2015. Alejandro's other certifications include Experience Design in Service from Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires, Spa Director from Wynne Business Consulting & Education, and Spa Supervisor from ISPA - International SPA Association.
