Director, Activity-based Intelligence at Hala Systems

Alexander L. has an extensive work experience spanning from 2011 to 2023 working with different organizations. Alexander started working as an OSINT freelancer at Freelance in November 2011, followed by their role as a researcher at CISD SOAS from September 2016 to August 2017. Alexander also worked as a researcher at KCL Project Alpha from September 2016 to December 2020. From May 2019 to May 2023, Alexander served as the Director & Lead Investigator for Vigil Monitor, where they focused on near real-time detection and verification of conflict events and civilian harm assessments in stabilization contexts. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Analytics at Hala Systems, Inc. starting from June 2023.

Alexander L. received their secondary education from Winchester College. Alexander obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (full Honours) from SOAS University of London and a Master’s Degree from King's College London. Alexander has several certifications in various fields such as International Criminal Investigation, Imagery Exploitation, Open Source Investigations, Windows Forensic Analysis, Data Science, Remote Sensing, Open Source Intelligence and Social Media Intelligence. Alexander also received training in Hostile Environment Awareness and Structured Analytic Techniques from well-known institutions.
