Christopher Villar, PE has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Christopher is currently working at Halff Associates as the Subsurface Utility Engineering Team Lead since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at SAM Companies where they held various positions including Subsurface Utility Engineering Manager from October 2018 to December 2020 and SUE Operations Manager, Texas from February 2013 to October 2018.
Before joining SAM Companies, Christopher worked at Surveying And Mapping, LLC. (SAM, LLC) as the Central Region Subsurface Utility Engineering Manager from February 2018 to October 2018. Christopher also had a role as the Railway Engineering Manager at TESMEC from October 2012 to February 2013, where they led the U.S. based engineering team for a contract with Amtrak.
Earlier in their career, Christopher served as the Director-Service Planning, Rail Services at Brandt Road Rail Inc. from March 2011 to July 2012. Christopher also had an extensive tenure at Georgetown Rail Equipment Company, where they held the role of VP-Engineering from December 1999 to October 2010.
Christopher Villar, PE attended Texas A&M University from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to their college education, they attended Mandeville High School. In terms of certifications, they received the "18.2.1 Subsurface Utility Engineering Pre-Certified" certification from the Texas Department of Transportation in November 2016. Additionally, they obtained the "Registered Professional Engineer" certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in May 2014.
