Erin Melanson

Erin Melanson is an accomplished educator currently serving as a Culinary Trades, Science, and Yoga Teacher at Halifax Regional Centre for Education since September 2022, after previously working as a Culinary and Math Support Teacher within the same organization from November 2021 to June 2022. Erin’s teaching focuses on developing culinary skills, food safety, and scientific knowledge among students. Prior to a career in education, Erin gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry, working as a server at Snug Harbour Restaurant and a bartender at Golden X Inn, where interpersonal skills, teamwork, and adaptability were essential. Erin holds a Bachelor of Education in Family Studies and Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition, both from St. Francis Xavier University, with the latter completed in 2019.
