David Thorpe

David Thorpe has a strong background in information technology and leadership roles. David is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Halifax Regional Municipality. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President, Information Technology at Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation from 2017 to 2021 and Director of Information Technology from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they were the Director of Technology at STI and a Team Leader - Enterprise Delivery at T4G Limited. David also worked as the VP, Service Delivery at CX Interactive and held various roles at Cyberplex, including Director, Solution Delivery and Director of Software Development. David began their career at Intellitech Innovations as a Systems Engineer and worked as a Programmer Analyst / Project Lead at The Mutual Group.

David Thorpe attended the University of Waterloo - St. Jerome's University from 1988 to 1993, where they earned an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science.
