John Bass

John Bass has worked for five different companies since 2000. John began their career at UC Berkeley as a Graduate Student Researcher from 2000 to 2005. John then moved to Université Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris 6, where they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and National Science Foundation International Research Fellow from 2005 to 2009. John then moved to IBM, where they were a Research Scientist from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2020, they worked at Kinestral Technologies, Inc. in various roles, including VP of Materials Development and Production, Director of Materials Development and Engineering, Sr. Group Leader of Materials Development and Engineering, Sr. Research Scientist II, and Research Scientist II. Since 2020, they have been VP of Materials Development and Production at HALIO, Inc.

John Bass completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, where they earned a BS in Chemical Engineering in 2000. John then continued their studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where they completed their PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2005.
