Byron L. Ames

Byron Ames has significant legal experience in a broad spectrum of litigation and transactional work including transportation, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, product liability, premises liability, adventure sports, insurance, and dispute resolution. Byron manages the Park City, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada offices and handles cases in state and federal courts in Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and elsewhere, as well as matters before state and federal administrative agencies. He represents major corporations, small businesses, governmental agencies, individuals, and insurance companies in both local and international issues. Byron is a problem solver who creatively and efficiently makes legal problems go away or proactively helps clients avoid them in the first place.

Byron has tried numerous cases as first chair before juries and the bench and has successfully arbitrated and mediated countless cases. Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Byron owned a small law firm and was an equity partner in a large Western-Regional law firm. He was also an Intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington. Byron formerly served as the Mayor of Francis, UT, a small city east of Salt Lake City, UT, where he engaged with all levels of local, state, and federal government to strategically protect the interests of the city and ensure its future success.
