Veli-Pekka Heikkinen

Veli-Pekka Heikkinen has extensive experience in management and project development, currently serving as a retired partner at Hallituspartnerit since December 2018. Previously, Veli-Pekka held the role of Project Manager at Joutsa Municipality from October 2016 to October 2018, overseeing the development of an industrial park. Prior to that, Veli-Pekka was the Director of the Jyväskylä Business and Innovation Factory at Jyväskylä Regional Development Company Jykes Ltd. from May 2014 to December 2015, focusing on transforming business ideas into innovations. Veli-Pekka also contributed as CEO at Jyväskylä Innovation Ltd. from 2006 to 2014 and as Director of Industry Development at Jyväskylä Science Park from 1999 to 2006. Additional roles include Director of Marketing & Sales at Sermet (later MW Power Group) from 1997 to 1999 and Project Manager at Wärtsilä Oy from 1984 to 1997. Veli-Pekka holds an MBA in Management from the University of Jyväskylä (2003-2006) and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oulun (1974-1980).
