Robert Orr

Robert Orr, a Consultant to Hallux since its formation, developer of the Company’s lead pharmaceutical asset HSG, and Board member, is the founder and President of Pacific PharmaScience, Inc., a pharmaceutical formulation development company located in Laguna Hills, California. Mr. Orr also served as Vice President Pharmaceutical Sciences at Ignyta Inc., a precision medicine company focused on Oncology acquired by Hoffman LaRoche in 2018.

Prior to Pacific PharmaScience, Mr. Orr worked at Valeant Pharmaceuticals (formerly ICN Pharmaceuticals and subsidiaries Ribapharm Inc. and Viratek Inc.) for 20 years. During this period, Mr. Orr held various technical and management positions within the company, most recently as the Senior Director for Chemical and Pharmaceutical Development, where he was responsible for global chemical development of investigational active ingredients and pharmaceutical formulations. Prior to this responsibility, Mr. Orr managed strategic commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and process transfers in positions of Technical Operations and Materials Management. During 1990-1993, Mr. Orr was the site manager for the ICN Pharmaceuticals solid orals commercial manufacturing plant located in Ohio.

Mr. Orr holds patents describing chemical processes and medical device inventions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Humboldt State University, and completed coursework required for the B.S. Chemical Engineering at Long Beach State University.
