Oliver Stark

Oliver Stark has experience in various fields, having worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at 1X from June 2023. Before that, they were a Scientific Assistant at ETH Zürich from April 2021 to March 2023. Oliver also co-founded and served as CEO of Evo Robotics from June 2019 to April 2020. Additionally, Oliver was a member of the LD12 Cohort at Entrepreneur First from April to July 2019. Oliver started their career as a Graphic/Web Designer at This End Up Ltd. in June 2012 and worked there until November 2013.

Oliver Stark completed their GCSEs, A-levels, and earned a DofE Gold award at Friends' School Saffron Walden from 2003 to 2010. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy from Lancaster University. Oliver then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Cybernetics from the University of Reading from 2014 to 2017. Oliver also participated in an A-levels program in Mathematics at Friends' School Saffron Walden from 2013 to 2014. Oliver worked as an undergraduate researcher (UROP) in the field of Neuroprosthetics at Imperial College London in 2017. The same year, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Human and Biological Robotics degree from Imperial College London. In the same year of 2017, they also completed a Business degree in the Oxford Fintech Programme offered by Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford (online). In addition, Oliver Stark obtained the Duke of Edinburgh's Award: Gold certification from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award institution.
