Gary Grote

Gary Grote has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Gary currently works at Halozyme, Inc. as the SVP, Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to that, they held the role of VP, Market Access, Trade & Reimbursement at Halozyme, Inc. Gary co-founded and worked at Old Oak Society, LLC, focusing on Wine and Whiskey Education and Experiences. Before that, they worked at HEMA Biologics as the Vice President, Commercial Operations. Gary also held various positions at US WorldMeds/HEMA Biologics, including Vice President, Market Access, Trade and Reimbursement. Gary was also the Vice President, Market Access at HEMA Biologics.

In the past, Grote worked at Novo Nordisk A/S as the Vice President, Market Access, BioPharm, as well as the Senior Director, Biopharm Market Access and Director, Managed Care & Reimbursement. Gary served on the Board of Directors at Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board. Gary started their career at Pfizer, where they held roles such as Managed Markets Regional Manager, Director, Medicaid Access, and Regional Account Manager/National Account Manager. Gary began their career at Upjohn as a Sales Representative and progressed to roles such as District Sales Manager, Health Science Associate, and Hospital Sales Representative.

Gary Grote attended The Ohio State University from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Their major was Zoology, and they minored in Chemistry. Additionally, in August 2021, they obtained an Executive Bourbon Steward certification from the Stave & Thief Society. In March 2021, they also obtained an OH CCW Certificate for NRA Basic Pistol from Shoot Point Blank.
