Amy MacKay

Amy Mackay is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations since 2007. Currently serving as a Senior Communication and Engagement Advisor at Hamilton City Council since September 2021, Amy previously held the position of Communication Advisor at Waikato District Health Board since May 2016. Earlier career roles include Marketing Communications Specialist at Smartrak Limited and Regional Marketing Manager at Gallagher Group. With expertise in marketing and communication strategy, digital strategy, media relations, and brand management, Amy has developed a strong skill set in internal and external communications, event planning, and content development through roles at Barnet Homes Ltd, Wise Group, Ultimate Design, and Pernod Ricard New Zealand. Amy holds a Bachelor of Communications from The University of Waikato.
