Janek Schumann

Janek Schumann has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology industry. Janek began their career in 2005 as a Software Developer at Hasso Plattner Institute, where they worked on developing a Tele-Teaching application for recording and editing lectures. Janek then joined TravelIQ GmbH as a Website Analyst before moving on to SAP, where they worked in the Office of the CTO as a Software Developer and Research Student. In their roles at SAP, they focused on exploring new technologies and creating prototypes for future strategies.

Janek later joined Hasso Plattner Institute - Enterprise Platform Integration Concepts as a Lead Software Developer, where they led a team in model-driven development and implemented prototypes for concept validation. Janek then transitioned to a role at corpuls | GS Elektromedizinische Geräte G.Stemple GmbH as a Senior Product Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing product development.

In 2019, they took on the role of Senior Data Privacy Consultant at TÜV Süd Sec-IT GmbH, where they provided consultation on data privacy matters. Janek also worked as a Project Communication Manager at corpuls | GS Elektromedizinische Geräte G.Stemple GmbH, managing project communications.

More recently, Janek worked as a Product Owner at FotoFinder Systems GmbH, where they were responsible for product ownership. Janek is currently working as a Product Security Manager at Hamilton Medical, where they oversee product security.

Throughout their career, Janek has demonstrated a strong expertise in software development, project management, and product ownership. Janek has also gained knowledge in areas such as data privacy, communication management, and security.

Janek Schumann's education history is as follows:

In 1998-2003, Janek attended Hermann-von-Helmholtz Gymnasium (High School) and obtained a Diploma.

From 2004-2007, they studied at Hasso Plattner Institute for IT Systems Engineering and received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in IT Systems Engineering.

In 2008-2012, Janek pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in IT Systems Engineering at Hasso Plattner Institute for IT Systems Engineering.

Janek obtained additional certifications during their education and career:

- In 2009, they received the certification of Rettungssanitäter (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) from NAW Berlin.

- In 2011, they obtained the Emergency Medical Responder certification from the EMA Licensing Board, Ministry of Health, BC, Canada.

- In 2016, Janek became a certified Healthcare Informatics Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) from (ISC)².

In 2018, they completed a course at TÜV Süd on becoming a Data Privacy Officer.

In 2018-2019, Janek attended a Management 3.0 Fundamentals course at it-agile GmbH.

In 2019, they furthered their knowledge in Scrum methodologies by completing a course for Scrum at Scale Professional at Scrum Inc.

In 2020, Janek pursued the Scrum Master certification from Scrum Inc.

Since 2021, Janek has been studying at (ISC)² for a Certificate in CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
