Leanne Sneddon

Leanne Sneddon has extensive work experience in human resources. Leanne started their career as a Human Resources Assistant Consultant at the Management Board Secretariat of the Ontario Government in 2000. From there, they worked as a Human Resources Officer at The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board from 2001 to 2010. Leanne then joined the City of Burlington as a Human Resources Representative from 2010 to 2015, eventually being promoted to Human Resources Manager from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Human Resources at the Hamilton Police Service in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Leanne Sneddon has a diverse and extensive education history. In 1999, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne. Later, in 2000, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College. In 2005, they obtained the certification of Certified Human Resources Leader from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association.

Continuing their education in the field, Leanne completed a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution Level 1 and 2 from the University of Waterloo in 2006. In 2011, they began studying at Queen's University IRC and obtained a Certificate in Labour Relations in 2016. Additionally, in 2012, they received a Certificate in HR Law for HR Professionals from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School.
