Matt Lewandowski

Matt Lewandowski has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matt started their career as a Quality Control Chemist at Patheon in 1999. Matt then moved on to various roles within the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from 2001 to 2022, including Chief Instructor, Manager of various departments, and Manager of Research Planning and Analysis Section. In 2013, they joined OPPA Credit Union as a Director. Matt also worked as a Professor/Sessional Instructor at the University of Windsor from 2005 to 2013 and served as the President of the Canadian Identification Society from 2009 to 2010. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Business and Strategic Initiatives at the Hamilton Police Service since 2022.

Matt Lewandowski completed their Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science, Biology, and Chemistry at the University of Toronto from 1995 to 1999. Matt then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the Administration of Public Institutions from Columbia Southern University, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. In 2012, they enrolled in the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, obtaining a Masters in Education with a focus on Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning, which they completed in 2014. In the same year, they also attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for the Police Leadership Executive Program. Lastly, in 2018, Lewandowski studied Alternate Dispute Resolution at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law.
