Sally J. van Wright

Sally J. Van Wright serves as the Assistant Superintendent of HCSD Research at Hampden County Sheriff's Department, where responsibilities include leading outcomes-based research and teaching martial arts as the Head Instructor at The Leopard School of Martial Arts. With extensive experience in roles such as Assistant Superintendent of All-Inclusive Support Services and Deputy Superintendent at the Western Massachusetts Regional Women's Correctional Center, Sally also contributes as an Adjunct Faculty at Springfield College School of Social Work, teaching courses on various foundational aspects of social work. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Teaching and Learning from American International College and a Master's degree in Social Work from Springfield College, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Smith College.
