Tuncay Tuncer

Tuncay Tuncer has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Tuncay currently holds the position of SVP- Mobile & Online Banking at Mashreq since April 2023. Prior to this, in 2021, they co-founded Handleforme.com. From 2018 to 2022, Tuncay worked at Standard Chartered Bank, serving as the Group Executive Director Online & Mobile Platforms / Head of Digital in UAE. Tuncay also held the role of Executive Director Mobile Banking during the same period.

Before joining Standard Chartered Bank, Tuncay worked at Emirates NBD, where they were the Head of Agile Delivery For Retail Banking from 2017 to 2018. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2017, they held the position of Head of Mobile Financial Services, responsible for all MFS development and management activities within the organization. Notable achievements during this time include the introduction of various mobile banking services, such as remote cheque deposit and mobile queuing ticket.

Tuncay also gained valuable experience at Akbank T.A.ş., where they served as the Mobile Banking Unit Manager from 2012 to 2013. In this role, they were responsible for all mobile financial services development and management activities. Prior to this, they held the position of Mobile Banking Manager at Akbank T.A.ş from 2011 to 2012, focusing on the SMS banking channel and the launch and development of Akbank Direkt Mobil.

Tuncay's earlier work experience includes roles at Yapi Kredi Bankasi A.S. as a Cross Channel Coordination Specialist from 2010 to 2011, Turk Ekonomi Bankası A.S. as an IT Project Management Specialist from 2008 to 2009, and Embrio A.ş. as an E-Business Developer from 2007 to 2008.

Tuncay Tuncer completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering and Management Sciences at Istanbul Technical University from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the same institution. Tuncay Tuncer also holds a certification in Agile Product Owner Role: Foundations, obtained from LinkedIn in January 2023.
