Meaghan Skahan Anderson

Meaghan Skahan Anderson currently serves as the Assistant Director of Education and Senior Manager of the Education Department at the Hands On Children's Museum since May 2021. Prior to this role, Meaghan held the position of Household Manager at Anderson HQ from July 2019 to May 2021 following a planned sabbatical. Earlier experience includes being a founding ELA teacher at Rainier Valley Leadership Academy from June 2017 to 2019, where Meaghan also served as the seventh grade team lead. Previous teaching roles include positions at Bellevue Children's Academy and The Mission Preparatory School, with initial teaching experience gained through Teach For America. Academic credentials include a B.A. in French and Spanish from Pomona College, a Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University, and advanced degrees in Comparative Literature from UC Santa Barbara, culminating in a Ph.D. in 2013.
