Sammie Rayner

Sammie Rayner is an advisor at HandUp. Sammie was previously a consultant at Startups, where they provided strategy consulting to help early to mid-stage social enterprises grow and thrive. From program development, to fundraising, staffing planning, or basic financial projections, they worked with organizations to navigate change and work toward self-sufficiency.

Before that, Sammie was a yoga teacher at The Healing WELL. The Healing WELL offers calm in the storms of poverty and prejudice, mental illness, substance abuse and addiction. Inspired by the ideals of compassion and justice, they love and guide one another so they can step into brighter futures, healing themselves and their greater community.

Sammie is also the co-founder and COO of HandUp. Sammie has been a board director at Lumana Credit and a research intern at the University of Washington. Sammie is currently a board member at South Oakland Shelter.

Sammie Rayner's educational background includes a RYT 200 Hour Certification in Yoga Teacher Training/Yoga Therapy from Yoga Garden SF, a Business Exchange Program in Business from Audencia, and a B.A. in Business Entrepreneurship and International Business, Entreprenership, and French from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business.
