Gabriel Terejanu

Gabriel Terejanu, PhD, is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where Terejanu leads the Uncertainty Quantification Lab and drives research initiatives in deep learning, material discovery, and causal learning. With a strong background in securing research funding totaling $2.6M from organizations such as the National Science Foundation and Toyota Research Development, Terejanu has established significant industry collaborations and teaches courses on Explainable AI and Causal Modeling. Prior roles include Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina, AI Strategy Consultant at Beyond Meat, and Technical Advisor at Hank AI, Inc. Terejanu earned a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University at Buffalo and an Engineering Diploma in Automation with a specialization in Robotics from the University of Craiova.
