Dhanya Ramachandran is a Principal Investigator at Hannover Medical School since October 2015, focusing on genomic risk factors for gynecological malignancies. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Dhanya identified and characterized cancer susceptibility variants through large genetic studies involving both in silico and wet-lab experiments. The academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine with research on cervical cancer epidemiology and genetics, coupled with experience as a Junior Research Fellow at IGIB working on immunomodulation for allergy therapies. Early research experience includes internships in molecular cloning, developmental biology, and drug-related behavior studies. Dhanya holds a Master's in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor's in Biochemistry from Delhi University, along with foundational education in the sciences.
