Katy Bristow has a diverse work experience in various roles. Katy began their career as a Development and Communications Associate at the DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence from 2004 to 2007. Katy then became the Director of Communications and Development at DC SAFE, a start-up nonprofit, from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they worked as a Subscription Specialist at CQ Press, an academic publishing company, from 2010 to 2012. Katy also held the position of CRM Database Coordinator at the Bipartisan Policy Center in 2013. Katy then became the Development Director at DC SAFE from 2013 to 2014. Currently, Katy is working at Hanover Research as a Senior Content Director - Grants, a role they assumed in 2022.
Katy Bristow completed their high school education at Bishop McNamara High School from 1995 to 2000. Katy then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Women Studies, and German from St. Mary's College of Maryland from 2000 to 2004.
