Caroline Privault has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Caroline began their career in 1995 as a Postdoctoral Position at the CEA-Leti advanced-research institute, where they focused on technology exploration and transfer to industrial partners. Caroline also worked collaboratively with EDF R&D team on solving a large-scale plutonium stock management problem using Meta-heuristics and Neural Networks. Caroline developed a decision system in C for solving constraint satisfaction problems. During this time, they published in conferences and journals.

Caroline then joined Xerox in 1998 as a Research & Development Engineer and worked on various projects involving machine learning text classification and clustering. Caroline developed the CategoriX Java library and facilitated technology transfer to different business groups. Additionally, they collaborated with Xerox Litigation Services to integrate CategoriX into their TAR services and eDiscovery OmniX platform. Caroline also contributed to patent application formulation and filing.

Caroline later took on the role of Area Manager at Xerox in 2014, where they continued to work on machine learning projects and intellectual property generation until 2017.

Caroline then transitioned to NAVER LABS Europe in 2017 as a Group Leader for "Platforms" until 2019, where they led projects and teams related to platforms.

In 2018, Caroline also worked as a Senior Project Leader at NAVER LABS Corp. until 2019.

Most recently, in 2019, Caroline joined HAP2U as an IP Manager, responsible for managing the IP portfolio, including applications, patents, and know-how.

Caroline Privault obtained their Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics (Operations Research) from Université Grenoble Alpes in 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Master II degree in Operations Research from the same university in 1990. In addition to their formal education, Caroline also holds certifications in "Fundamentals of Deep learning for Computer Vision" from NVIDIA, obtained in April 2018, and "Master Class PI Lyon 2020-2021" from INPI France, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
